Plans & Billing

Managing your subscription

How to view, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your PrivateStay plan.

Your plan is managed from Dashboard → Account, in the Plan & billing section.

View your current plan

The Plan & billing section shows:

  • Your current plan (Free, Plus, Pro, or Portfolio)
  • Your Founding Owner status and number, if you have one
  • Your locked-in price, if you're on a paid plan

Upgrading or switching plans

  1. Go to Dashboard → Account → Plan & billing
  2. Choose the plan you want and confirm

If you already have a paid plan, switching between Plus, Pro, and Portfolio is instant from this section — your account updates immediately, and any Founding Owner pricing you hold carries over to the new plan where it applies.

If you're upgrading from Free, you'll be asked to add a payment card. Depending on how billing is set up for your account, your card may be saved and your plan activated without an immediate charge — if that's the case, you'll get an email explaining exactly what was saved, your locked-in price, and when charging will begin. We never charge a card without telling you first.

What happens when you downgrade or cancel

  • Downgrading or cancelling a paid plan does not delete anything. Your listing content, photos, and translations are preserved.
  • Features beyond your new plan's limits (extra properties, extra photos, extra languages, and so on) become inaccessible until you upgrade again — nothing is deleted, just hidden until you're back within your plan's limits.
  • The one exception: files shared in messages are stored for 30 days on the Free plan. Files uploaded while on a paid plan will be permanently deleted 30 days after downgrading.
