Managing your subscription

How to view, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your PrivateStay subscription.


Your subscription is managed via Stripe. PrivateStay does not store your payment card details — Stripe handles all payment processing securely.

View your current plan

Go to Dashboard → Subscription to see:

  • Your current plan (Free, Pro, or Founding Owner)
  • Your billing cycle and next renewal date
  • Your payment method on file

Upgrade to Pro

  1. Go to Dashboard → Subscription
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro
  3. You will be redirected to Stripe Checkout to enter your payment details
  4. After payment, your plan upgrades immediately

Manage billing, update payment method, or cancel

Click Manage subscription in Dashboard → Subscription. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View past invoices and download receipts
  • Change your billing cycle (monthly to annual, or vice versa)
  • Cancel your subscription

What happens when you cancel

If you cancel your Pro subscription:

  • You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period
  • After that, your account moves to the Free plan
  • Your listing content is preserved — nothing is deleted
  • Features beyond the Free plan limits (extra photos, extra languages, etc.) become inaccessible until you upgrade again

Refund policy

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at hello@privatestay.club.

Invoices

Invoices are generated by Stripe and accessible through the Stripe Customer Portal (Dashboard → Subscription → Manage subscription). You can download PDF invoices for any past payment.

Note

PrivateStay does not issue invoices directly. All billing documents come from Stripe on behalf of PrivateStay.
